About

Namaste,

If you were to ask my parents, they would say am nothing but A Rebel;  For myself, am Just a Crazy Dreamer; A simple person who is trying to walk down his path, do what he loves, trying to create the world of his dreams(Or shaping the real one as close as possible to his by Being The Change he wants to witness).

Post doing my B-Tech. from IIT-BHU, Varanasi, I left my college placement to pursue my calling. I am a die-hard patriot and appalled by the state of things in my country, i wanted to do something and thus, joined Teach For India. I successfully completed my 2 year fellowship recently and moving further along my path, am now designing a campaign, which you will shortly see in action(If you live in India) . The way i live my life draws huge inspiration from the lines of the following poem by Allama Iqbal:

Khudi ko kar buland itna ke har taqder se pehle
Khuda bande se ye poche bata teri raza kia hai

(Raise thyself to such heights, That God Himself may Ask-

What do you wish me to write your fate ?)

I am on a personal journey for finding my purpose and upon knowing it, i hope to have the strength to go after it. Though i speak a lot, i understand the value of action. I value honesty a lot in my life and my close group friends know me as a genuine person inside out. I would rather lose people/opportunities than be fake. I believe in trusting people first rather then being skeptical and the people who gain my trust know that they can fall back on me anytime. I hope that i can raise myself to such a level of purity and integrity so as to have the courage to stand up for my principles as and when required. Most of my thoughts/principles/ideas are still getting shaped and my writing would demonstrate just that. Also, as of now, I feel stifled by even the mere thought of binding myself down with one ideology and thus, i keep jumping from one to another, keeping points i connect to and ignoring the rest. My posts would be random, weird, strange but they will all be genuine for i write only when i feel like penning down something. My post would show you the real picture(from my perspective) and i hope you like them. Do leave a comment and join me if u like my work. I on my part would continue striving ahead on my path and keep on attempting to sing my song with utmost of purity.  For any feedback/criticism/query or even a simple hello, do get in touch: nakul@justacrazydreamer.com  🙂

  1. “Most of my thoughts/principles/ideas are still getting shaped and my writing would demonstrate just that.” I think you’ve spoken for everyone. When I read things I wrote ten years ago, I rarely agree with what I believed to be true at that time. May you find the answers for which you seek. 🙂

Thanks for following Lessons by Heart. It’s nice to ‘e-meet’ you!

  2. How lovely it is to give into your dreams especially when they assist the greater good. Maybe at some point we will all be able to reach that place and the world will be richer, better and fully engaged in sharing ideas.

  3. good to hear about your dreams & motives specially in times like these when most of the undergrads here just want to rush to the US for fame & money. Would be glad to be a part of your campaign!

  9. Thanks for checking out my blog Nakularora, Did we met in Varanasi? I actually just came from there. Do you know Nadi? I like the description of yourself, I think we have a lot in common and a lot to talk about. I’m a pretty radical theorist myself. alixtate.com

  10. Thanks for visiting my blog and liking that silly post. I am absolutely stunned at the work, the determination and the kind of unconventional thought process a person of my age can exhibit. I did my undergrad from LSR, and that college places immense stress on Social work. I had joined khushi and goonj both during those days. And I felt like a speck of dust in the vast universe. Those days I was torn between understanding that I was not meant to be a social worker and otherwise. I could not handle it when a 10 year old kid would come running into the class and abuse me with the worst possible word when I would ask him to chuck that tobacco. I was strong but I broke down at events of eve-teasing. I did not have the desired level of patience or kindness and I also wanted to bring about a change.
    Oh well.
I guess this rant is just my slightly guilty self-conscience. And yeah now I help the society- by laughing, and making others laugh. Sometimes that helps me conceal a lot of other emotions as well. Also. I have visited just about every region in Kumaon that you mentioned in your articles. It brought back a lot of memories. Super duper good luck on your mission. You’re a blessed soul. Peace.

    • Thank you for the extremely kind words. Your comment is beautifully honest. I am happy you shared your story with me, It feels nice to have a peek into the lives of complete strangers. I am glad I liked your post or else I would have missed out on a beautiful though small connection with you. Wish you all luck with your endeavors too. Take Care. 🙂

Something similar to my thoughts I found here Nakul, Thanks for visiting my blog and liking the about page. May I know why did you like ????

  14. You are quite a rare person. What I mean is that, giving time to your passion as well as helping the nation a a big leap for you and to your country. Most of the people today (but not all) have no trust in their government. I salute you for your venture. I hope the virus your spreading will reach beyond your expectation.

Good day to you!..I just follow you and if you have time to check mine.

    • Thank you so much for the kind words, my dear friend. I believe each one of is unique and rare. I am simply trying to follow my heart and yes, I don’t believe any government is fully bad or good. In-fact, governments are nothing but a reflection of the society that has elected them in the first place or in case of a dictator, has ensured that their power remains. I will surely go through your blog. Take Care.. 🙂

    • I love this poem by Iqbal. Kinda sums up all that I look for/live life. I am glad you found a connection. Sorry for the late reply, I have been slack with the blog. Take care 🙂

  19. Nakul, I honor your search for truth and how you might best serve with the gifts you have been given. Don’t give up, writing and keep searching different ideologies. Namaste.

    • Thank you so much for such a beautiful comment. I don’t know how I missed replying to this. Yes, what’s life if not a ever changing struggle to realize the self within and there’s little to be done except moving on and on..Take Care 🙂
